X Factor (Bulgarian TV series)
X Factor is a Bulgarian reality talent show broadcast on Nova Television. It is part of the international X Factor franchise created by Simon Cowell. The show aims to find new singing talent – solo artists and groups – drawn from public auditions.
The format typically includes several stages:
- Auditions: Open auditions are held across the country, allowing aspiring singers to perform before the show's producers. Successful auditionees advance to the judges' auditions.
- Judges' Auditions: Selected acts perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges. The judges decide which acts will proceed to the next stage.
- Bootcamp: Acts who pass the judges' auditions are put through a rigorous training process, including vocal coaching and performance workshops. The number of acts is significantly reduced during Bootcamp.
- Judges' Houses: The remaining acts are divided into categories and mentored by individual judges. Each judge selects a few acts from their category to advance to the live shows.
- Live Shows: The finalists perform live each week, with viewers voting for their favorite acts. The acts with the fewest votes are eliminated each week until a winner is crowned.
The winner of X Factor Bulgaria typically receives a recording contract and other prizes. The show has launched the careers of several prominent Bulgarian singers. The judging panel has changed throughout the series' run and has featured notable figures in the Bulgarian music industry. The show has been a popular program on Bulgarian television, drawing significant viewership.
