Woodlawn (Austin, Texas)

Woodlawn is a historic neighborhood located in Central Austin, Texas, generally bounded by North Lamar Boulevard to the west, 38th Street to the south, Guadalupe Street to the east, and 45th Street to the north. It is known for its mature trees, proximity to the University of Texas at Austin, and a mix of architectural styles ranging from early 20th-century bungalows to more modern homes.

The neighborhood was originally developed in the early 1900s as a streetcar suburb, offering residents an alternative to living downtown while still providing convenient access to the city center. Many of the homes in Woodlawn were built during this period and reflect the Craftsman and Prairie School styles.
