William Harrison (bishop)
William Harrison (d. 1621) was an English clergyman who served as Archdeacon of Rochester and Bishop of Kilmore and Ardagh.
Harrison was born in Lancashire and educated at St John's College, Cambridge, where he matriculated in 1584 and graduated B.A. in 1587, M.A. in 1590, and D.D. in 1617. He was incorporated at Oxford University in 1616.
He held the rectory of Moreton, Essex, from 1598 until his death. He was appointed Archdeacon of Rochester in 1603. In 1612, he accompanied Sir Oliver St John, the Lord Deputy of Ireland, to that country as his chaplain.
Harrison was consecrated Bishop of Kilmore and Ardagh in St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, on 18 May 1612. He held the sees jointly until his death in 1621. He is buried in St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin.
