William Daley (Australian politician)
William Robert Daley (born 14 August 1948) is a former Australian politician. He served as a Labor Party member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from 1984 to 1995 and as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, representing Maroubra, from 1995 to 2005.
Daley held several ministerial portfolios during his time in government, including Minister for Finance, Minister for Urban Affairs and Planning, and Minister for State Development. He was a prominent figure in the Carr Labor government.
Following his retirement from politics, Daley became involved in business and held positions on various boards. He is the brother of former federal Labor leader and Deputy Prime Minister, the late Leo McLeay.
