West London Junction (LBR) railway station
West London Junction railway station, designated with the code (LBR), was a short-lived railway station located on the West London Railway in the Kensington area of London. It served as an interchange station, primarily connecting the West London Railway to the London & North Western Railway's (LNWR) branch to Kensington (Addison Road), now Kensington (Olympia).
The station's operating life was brief. It opened on 2 June 1862 and closed just over a year later, on 31 October 1863. Its closure was likely due to a combination of factors including low passenger numbers and operational complexities involved in facilitating the interchange. The construction of other, more conveniently located stations and changes in railway company priorities also contributed.
Very little physical evidence of the station remains today. The site is located near the present-day Kensington (Olympia) station. The name "West London Junction" more generally refers to the location where the West London Railway intersects with other railway lines.
