Jock Ferguson (politician)

Jock Ferguson is an Australian politician. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly.

Ferguson represented the electorate of Victoria River for the Country Liberal Party (CLP). He was first elected in the 2005 Northern Territory general election, defeating incumbent Labor MLA Tim Baldwin.

During his time in parliament, Ferguson served on various committees and was a vocal advocate for issues affecting the Victoria River region, particularly related to pastoralism and Aboriginal affairs.

Ferguson lost his seat in the 2012 Northern Territory general election to Labor candidate Willem Westra van Holthe. After his defeat, he remained involved in the community, focusing on local development and advocacy. He has largely remained out of the public political eye since leaving office. His post-parliamentary activities primarily involve rural and community-based endeavors.
