Henry Richardson (Northern Ireland politician)
Henry Richardson (1914-1987) was a unionist politician in Northern Ireland.
Richardson was born in County Armagh. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Parliament of Northern Ireland for South Armagh from 1969 until the parliament was prorogued in 1972. He represented the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP).
During his time in parliament, Richardson was a vocal advocate for law and order and stronger security measures in response to the escalating violence of The Troubles. He was known for his staunch unionist views and his opposition to any concessions to Irish nationalism. Following the abolition of the Northern Ireland Parliament, Richardson remained active in unionist politics but did not seek further elected office. He died in 1987.
