Walton railway station (Cambridgeshire)

Walton railway station was a station located in the village of Walton, Cambridgeshire, England, on the Great Northern Railway (GNR) main line. It served the local community from its opening in 1850 until its closure in 1959.

The station was situated approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Peterborough. It provided passenger and goods services, facilitating the movement of people and agricultural products within the region.

The station's layout typically consisted of platforms, a station building incorporating booking facilities and waiting rooms, and potentially sidings for handling goods traffic.

Following its closure to passengers in 1959, the station building was eventually demolished. The trackbed through the site remains in use as part of the East Coast Main Line. There is no physical evidence of the station remaining at the location. The station's closure was part of a wider program of rationalization of the railway network.
