Walace (footballer, born 1995)
Walace Souza Silva, commonly known as Walace (born April 4, 1995), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder.
Walace began his professional career with Grêmio in Brazil, where he rose through the youth ranks and established himself as a key player. He was a member of the Grêmio squad that won the 2016 Copa do Brasil.
In January 2017, Walace transferred to Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga. He spent a season and a half with the club before moving to Hannover 96 in the summer of 2018.
After a season with Hannover, Walace joined Udinese in the Italian Serie A in July 2019. He has been a regular presence in the Udinese midfield since his arrival.
Walace represented Brazil at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he won a gold medal. He has also represented Brazil at the under-20 level.
