Anian II (bishop of St Asaph)
Anian II (died 1326) was a Welsh clergyman who served as the Bishop of St Asaph from 1293 to 1326. He succeeded Anian I to the bishopric. His episcopate coincided with a turbulent period in Welsh history, marked by the Edwardian conquest and subsequent unrest. Sources indicate he likely resided mainly in England during much of his tenure due to the instability in his diocese. He is known for his efforts to rebuild and restore the cathedral at St Asaph following damage sustained during the Welsh Wars. His death is recorded as occurring in 1326.
