Wainwright was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada. It existed from 1909 to 1971. The district was named after the town of Wainwright, Alberta.

History:

The Wainwright electoral district was created in 1909 from parts of the Vermilion and St. Albert electoral districts. It was abolished in 1971 and its territory was redistributed into the newly created electoral districts of Wainwright-Lloydminster and Sedgewick-Coronation.

The Wainwright district was represented by one Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, elected through the first-past-the-post system.
