Wagner (crater)

Wagner is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located in the northeastern part of the far side, to the northwest of the larger crater Pasteur and southeast of the crater von Neumann.

The crater is characterized by a relatively well-defined rim that is only lightly eroded. The inner walls are terraced, and the interior floor is uneven and marked by several small craterlets. There is a central peak formation located near the midpoint of the crater floor.

The crater is named after German composer Richard Wagner.
