Waco C-62
The Waco C-62 was a 1930s American cabin biplane designed and built by the Waco Aircraft Company. It was a relatively large and luxurious aircraft for its time, intended for private owners and executive transport.
The C-62 featured an enclosed cabin that could comfortably seat four to five passengers. It was powered by a single radial engine, typically a Wright R-760 Whirlwind or a Pratt & Whitney Wasp Junior, providing cruising speeds of around 140-160 mph. The aircraft had a high-wing biplane configuration, characteristic of Waco aircraft of that era.
Production numbers of the C-62 were limited, as it was a high-end aircraft primarily sold to wealthy individuals and businesses. Due to its rarity and classic design, surviving examples are highly sought after by collectors of vintage aircraft. While not as ubiquitous as some other Waco models, the C-62 represents a significant contribution to early general aviation and showcases the craftsmanship and engineering of the Waco Aircraft Company.
