WJJZ (AM)
WJJZ (AM) is a radio station broadcasting at 1530 kHz in Riverside, Rhode Island, licensed to Pawtucket, Rhode Island. It airs a Spanish Tropical format, branded as "Latina 100.3" due to its simulcast on FM translator W262CI at 100.3 MHz in Providence.
The station's history dates back to the original WPAW, which went on the air in 1961. Throughout its history, the AM station has broadcast under various call signs and formats, including religious programming and brokered ethnic programming. The current call sign, WJJZ, was adopted after a frequency swap with the former WJJZ AM station in Philadelphia (now WNTP) in the late 1990s. The simulcast on the FM translator provides better coverage to the Providence metropolitan area. The station is owned by Gois Broadcasting of Rhode Island, LLC.
