Voronezh electoral district (Russian Constituent Assembly election, 1917)

The Voronezh electoral district was a constituency established in 1917 for the election to the Russian Constituent Assembly. It covered the territory of the Voronezh Governorate.

The Socialist-Revolutionary (SR) party dominated the election in Voronezh. Within the SR list, the Peasant Union group held a strong position. The Bolsheviks came in second place, followed by the Constitutional Democrats (Kadets).

The final results showed the SRs receiving approximately 68% of the vote, the Bolsheviks around 19%, and the Kadets about 7%. Smaller groups, such as Mensheviks and various national minorities, garnered the remaining votes. The considerable support for the SRs reflected the largely agrarian nature of the Voronezh Governorate, where peasant communities formed the core of the population.

The elected deputies from the Voronezh electoral district to the Constituent Assembly included prominent figures from the SR party and the Bolshevik faction. Due to the Assembly's brief existence, their contributions were limited.
