Vladimir Korotkov (tennis)
Vladimir Korotkov (born January 23, 1948) is a former professional tennis player from the Soviet Union. He competed primarily in the 1970s and was one of the leading Soviet tennis players of his era.
Korotkov achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 41 in 1975. He reached the fourth round of the 1974 Wimbledon Championships, his best Grand Slam result. He was a member of the Soviet Union Davis Cup team and participated in several editions of the competition.
While primarily known for his singles play, Korotkov also competed in doubles tournaments. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching and has contributed to the development of Russian tennis players. He is considered an important figure in the history of Soviet and Russian tennis.
