Vitacost
Vitacost.com, often referred to simply as Vitacost, is an online retailer of vitamins, supplements, health foods, beauty products, and other health-related items. Founded in 1994 as Nature's Wealth Company, it later rebranded to Vitacost in 1999. The company offers a wide range of products from various brands, as well as its own private label brand, Vitacost Brand.
Vitacost operates primarily through its e-commerce website, shipping products directly to consumers. It aims to provide a convenient and affordable platform for purchasing health and wellness products. The company emphasizes offering competitive pricing and a wide selection of products to meet diverse consumer needs.
In 2014, Vitacost was acquired by Kroger, a large supermarket chain. This acquisition allowed Vitacost to leverage Kroger's distribution network and resources to further expand its reach and product offerings. Following the acquisition, Vitacost continued to operate as an independent subsidiary of Kroger.
