Victor Dolidze (politician)
Victor Dolidze (Georgian: ვიქტორ დოლიძე; born July 9, 1960, Tbilisi) is a Georgian politician and diplomat. He served as the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration from December 2014 to November 2016.
Dolidze graduated from Tbilisi State University with a degree in International Economic Relations. He also studied at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
Prior to his ministerial appointment, Dolidze held various positions within the Georgian government and diplomatic corps. He served as Georgia's Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna and Head of Mission of Georgia to the OSCE. He also served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Dolidze was a Member of Parliament of Georgia from 2004 to 2014, representing the United National Movement party and later the Georgian Dream coalition. During his time in parliament, he chaired the Committee on European Integration.
His political activity has focused primarily on promoting Georgia's integration with the European Union and NATO. He has been involved in various initiatives aimed at strengthening Georgia's ties with these organizations.
