Van Canto

Van Canto is a German a cappella metal band, founded in 2006. The band consists of five singers and a drummer, and their music primarily features a cappella renditions of both original compositions and covers of popular heavy metal songs. Van Canto's unique sound is characterized by the use of the singers' voices to emulate the sounds of traditional metal instruments such as electric guitars, bass guitars, and keyboards, creating a full and dynamic metal experience without relying on actual instruments, aside from the drums. They refer to their vocalists by the terms "Rakkatakka Singers," which has become a recognizable element of their branding.
