Unexpected (Lumidee album)
Unexpected is the second studio album by American singer Lumidee, released on June 19, 2007, by TVT Records. It marks a departure from the dancehall-infused sound of her debut album, Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh), and features a more diverse range of musical styles including R&B, pop, and hip-hop.
The album spawned the singles "She's Out There" and "Crazy". "She's Out There", featuring Tony Sunshine, was the lead single and achieved moderate success. "Crazy" followed as the second single.
While Unexpected aimed to showcase Lumidee's versatility, it did not achieve the same commercial success as her debut album. Critical reception was mixed, with some critics praising her experimentation with different genres, while others found the album less cohesive and impactful than her previous work.
The album features production from various producers, including Jerry 'Wonda' Duplessis and Salaam Remi.
