Hugh Hill (judge)

Hugh Hill (born 1768, died 1834) was a prominent jurist and state legislator in Tennessee during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He served as a judge on the Tennessee Supreme Court of Errors and Appeals from 1818 to 1824. Prior to his judicial service, Hill was a member of the Tennessee General Assembly, where he played a significant role in shaping early state laws. He was known for his legal acumen and contributions to the development of the Tennessee legal system.
