Bounce TV
Bounce TV is an American broadcast television network owned by Scripps Networks. Targeting an African-American audience, Bounce TV features a mix of original and acquired programming, including off-net sitcoms, dramas, movies, and sporting events.
The network was launched on September 26, 2011, as the first 24/7 digital multicast broadcast network created for African Americans. It is available over-the-air on the digital subchannels of television stations and is also carried on some cable and satellite providers.
Bounce TV's programming lineup often includes classic sitcoms featuring predominantly Black casts, such as "The Bernie Mac Show," "In Living Color," and "Martin." The network also airs original series, made-for-television movies, and theatrical films.
In addition to entertainment programming, Bounce TV also broadcasts live sports, including college basketball games from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), historically Black college and university (HBCU) athletic conferences.
Bounce TV aims to provide viewers with culturally relevant and entertaining programming that reflects the diversity and richness of the African-American experience. Its programming strategy focuses on content that appeals to a broad range of ages within the African-American community.
