USS Resolute (SP-3003)

The USS Resolute (SP-3003) was a United States Navy patrol boat in commission from 1917 to 1919. Resolute was built as the private steam yacht Emeline in 1903. In 1917, the U.S. Navy acquired her under a free lease from her owner, Robert S. Brewster, for use during World War I. She was commissioned as USS Resolute (SP-3003).

Assigned to the 3rd Naval District, Resolute performed patrol duty in the New York City area. Her duties likely involved enforcing neutrality laws, guarding harbor entrances, and potentially supporting anti-submarine activities, although specific details of her service record are scarce.

Following the end of World War I, Resolute was decommissioned on 31 January 1919. She was returned to Brewster on 18 April 1919. Her subsequent fate is not readily available in commonly accessible historical records.
