David Cox (Australian politician)
David Cox (born 17 September 1938) is a former Australian politician who served as a Labor member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Auburn from 1984 to 1995.
Prior to entering parliament, Cox worked as an industrial advocate and official with the Federated Ironworkers' Association. He was active within the Labor Party's Socialist Left faction.
During his time in the New South Wales Parliament, Cox held various committee positions. He did not serve as a minister. He was defeated at the 1995 state election by Peter Nagle.
