Ron Young (jurist)

Ron Young is an American lawyer and judge, primarily known for his work in the Utah judiciary. He served as a judge on the Utah Court of Appeals from 2004 to 2016.

Young graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree and later earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.

Before his appointment to the Court of Appeals, Young had a diverse legal career. He worked as a private attorney, focusing on commercial litigation and appellate law. He also served as a law clerk for Judge Monroe G. McKay of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

During his tenure on the Utah Court of Appeals, Judge Young participated in numerous decisions covering a wide range of legal issues, contributing to the body of law in Utah. He was known for his thorough legal analysis and clear writing style in his opinions.
