USS Inca (1911)
The USS Inca was a United States Navy patrol vessel and minesweeper commissioned in 1918. Originally built as a private yacht in 1911, it was acquired by the Navy for service during World War I. The Inca (SP-312) was converted into a patrol craft and minesweeper and served primarily in the waters of the U.S. East Coast. Its duties included patrolling coastal areas for enemy submarines and sweeping for mines laid by enemy forces. Following the end of World War I, the Inca was decommissioned in 1919 and returned to its original owner. The vessel's subsequent history is not widely documented.
