USS Algorma (ATA-212)
The USS Algorma (ATA-212) was a United States Navy Algorma-class auxiliary ocean tug. She was commissioned in 1944 and served primarily in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Her duties included towing damaged ships, assisting in salvage operations, and providing general support to naval forces. Following the war, she continued to serve in various capacities, including participation in Operation Crossroads, the atomic weapon tests at Bikini Atoll in 1946. She was eventually decommissioned and disposed of, marking the end of her service to the United States Navy.
