Mr. Dream
Mr. Dream is the final opponent in the North American and European versions of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) video game Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!. He replaced Mike Tyson in the game following the expiration of Nintendo's licensing agreement with Tyson in 1990.
Mr. Dream's character design is similar to Mike Tyson's, featuring a bald head and aggressive fighting style. However, he is depicted with blond hair in his in-game sprite. As the final boss, Mr. Dream presents a significant challenge to players, requiring precise timing and strategic use of punches to defeat him. His punch patterns are fast and powerful, making him a formidable opponent.
The replacement of Mike Tyson with Mr. Dream resulted in the game being re-released as simply Punch-Out!!. The gameplay remained largely the same, with the only major change being the substitution of the final boss character. Mr. Dream's appearance marked a significant shift in the game's branding and became a notable piece of video game history, representing the challenges and adaptations that can occur due to licensing and contractual agreements.
