U.S. Route 41
U.S. Route 41 (US 41) is a major north–south United States Highway that runs from Miami, Florida, to Copper Harbor, Michigan. It is approximately 2,000 miles (3,200 km) long and serves as a significant arterial route through several states.
The highway's southern terminus is in downtown Miami, Florida, and it travels north through Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin before ending in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It closely parallels Interstate 75 (I-75) for much of its length, particularly in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
US 41 is notable for its historical significance and varied landscapes. In Florida, it is known as Tamiami Trail, traversing the Everglades. Segments of the route in other states feature diverse environments ranging from urban areas to rural farmlands and forested regions. The road has undergone many changes and improvements over the years, including bypasses and relocations, but it continues to serve as an important transportation corridor.
