Toronto—Danforth (federal electoral district)
Toronto—Danforth is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada. It has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1979. The riding encompasses a significant portion of the east end of the city of Toronto, roughly bounded by the Don River to the west, Lake Ontario to the south, Victoria Park Avenue to the east (in some areas) and generally north to the southern edge of East York.
The riding is known for its vibrant Greektown on the Danforth Avenue and its diverse, largely progressive population. Historically, the riding has been a stronghold for the New Democratic Party (NDP), though the Liberal Party has also held the seat at times.
The boundaries of the riding have been adjusted several times over the years following federal electoral boundary redistributions. The most recent adjustment took effect for the 2015 federal election.
