Tony Pham

Tony Pham is an American attorney and former government official. He served as the acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the Trump administration from October 2020 to January 2021. Prior to this role, he served as the Principal Legal Advisor for ICE.

Pham's career has included roles in private practice and public service. Before joining ICE, he served as the Virginia Solicitor General, representing the Commonwealth in civil and criminal appeals before state and federal courts. He also held various positions in the Virginia government, including Deputy Attorney General.

Pham is a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law. His appointment as acting ICE Director was met with both support and criticism, particularly due to the agency's policies and practices related to immigration enforcement. He has publicly expressed his views on immigration law and enforcement. Since leaving his role at ICE, Pham has returned to the private sector.
