Thomas Hussey (died 1468)
Thomas Hussey was a member of parliament and a prominent Lincolnshire landowner during the 15th century. He was the son of Henry Hussey and appears to have inherited significant estates, solidifying his position in the local gentry.
Hussey represented Lincolnshire in Parliament multiple times, demonstrating his influence and standing within the county. His parliamentary service likely involved him in the political and legislative affairs of the realm during a turbulent period, marked by the Wars of the Roses.
He married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John Tailboys, further connecting him to other important families in the region. This marriage strengthened his social and political network.
Thomas Hussey died in 1468. His heir was his son, Sir William Hussey, who also became a significant figure in Lincolnshire and went on to become Chief Justice of the King’s Bench under King Richard III. The Hussey family continued to hold considerable sway in the area for generations.
