Thomas Faunce (cricketer)

Thomas Faunce (born 16 December 1869, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer. He played first-class cricket for Somerset between 1892 and 1902 as a right-handed batsman and right-arm slow bowler.

Faunce made his first-class debut against Oxford University in 1892 and played fairly regularly for Somerset in the early 1890s, both as a batsman and as a bowler. In the 1894 season, he scored 446 runs with a highest score of 71 against Hampshire and took 24 wickets with his slow bowling. His bowling action was described as "laborious."

Faunce's appearances were less frequent after the 1894 season. He appeared sporadically until 1902 when he played his final first-class match against Hampshire. In total, he played 49 first-class matches, scoring 1136 runs at an average of 14.75, with a highest score of 71. He took 49 wickets at an average of 33.16, with a best bowling performance of 4 for 49 against Gloucestershire in 1892.
