Thomas Bull (Pennsylvania politician)

Thomas Bull (born October 15, 1744, died January 22, 1824) was an American politician and judge from Pennsylvania. He served as a member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly and as a judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County.

Bull was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He was a prominent landowner and active in local affairs. He served in the American Revolutionary War, holding the rank of Colonel in the Chester County militia.

Following the war, Bull entered politics. He was elected to the Pennsylvania General Assembly several times, representing Chester County. He was a strong advocate for agricultural interests and internal improvements.

In 1791, Bull was appointed a judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County, a position he held for many years. He was known for his fairness and impartiality.

Thomas Bull married twice. His first wife was Ann Hunter, with whom he had several children. After her death, he married Sarah Savage.

He is buried in the Great Valley Presbyterian Church cemetery in Malvern, Pennsylvania. His legacy includes his contributions to the development of Chester County and his service to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
