These Are the Days (Lit album)

These Are the Days is the third studio album by American rock band Lit. It was released on April 17, 2001, by RCA Records. While still rooted in the band's power pop sensibilities, the album saw Lit experimenting with a broader range of musical styles, including more electronic and alternative influences, differentiating it from their breakthrough album, A Place in the Sun.

The album's title reflects the band's perspective on their career at the time, coming off the success of their previous record. It was produced by Glen Ballard, known for his work with Alanis Morissette, and features songwriting collaborations with several prominent musicians.

Singles from the album included "Lipstick and Bruises" and "Over My Head." While These Are the Days achieved some commercial success, it did not reach the same level of popularity as A Place in the Sun. The album peaked at number 44 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Despite not achieving the same commercial heights, These Are the Days is considered by some fans and critics to be a more musically diverse and mature effort from Lit. It marked a transition in their sound and demonstrated their willingness to explore different sonic territories.
