The Sky Is Falling (album)
The Sky Is Falling is the debut studio album by American hip hop group Jedi Mind Tricks, released in 1998 on Superegular Recordings. The album features sparse production, primarily handled by Stoupe, and lyricism focused on sociopolitical themes and conspiracy theories, hallmarks that would become defining characteristics of the group's sound. Vinnie Paz, then known as Ikon the Verbal Hologram, showcases his aggressive and often confrontational delivery. The album also features guest appearances from other underground hip hop artists. Although not commercially successful upon release, The Sky Is Falling is considered a significant work in the development of the underground hip hop scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s and established Jedi Mind Tricks as a prominent force within the genre.
