The Neighbors (game show)
The Neighbors was an American game show that aired on ABC from December 26, 1975, to July 4, 1976. It was hosted by Regis Philbin and produced by Chuck Barris Productions.
The premise of The Neighbors involved three married couples. The male contestants were taken backstage, and their wives were asked questions about their husbands' habits, preferences, and characteristics. The husbands then returned, and were asked the same questions about themselves. Points were awarded for matching answers between husband and wife. The couple with the most points at the end of the game won prizes, including the grand prize, which could be a trip.
The show was notable for its lighthearted and often comedic tone, typical of Chuck Barris Productions. It also featured a live band. While not a long-running success, The Neighbors is remembered as one of Regis Philbin's early hosting roles and as a product of the game show boom of the 1970s.
