Gog (woreda)

Gog (woreda) is a woreda (district) in the Gambela Region of Ethiopia. Located in the Agnuak Zone, Gog is bordered on the south by Abobo, on the west by the Sudan, on the north by Jor, and on the east by the Baro River which separates it from Itang. The administrative center of Gog is Fugnido.

The woreda is largely inhabited by the Anyuak people. Agriculture is the primary occupation, with maize and sorghum being important crops. Due to its location near the Sudanese border, Gog has experienced challenges related to cross-border movements and security concerns. Access to basic services like healthcare and education can be limited in certain areas of the woreda.
