Raszczyce

Raszczyce is a town in the Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Raszczyce.

Raszczyce is located approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-east of Ostrów Wielkopolski and 98 km (61 mi) south-east of the regional capital Poznań.

Historically, Raszczyce has been part of Greater Poland. The town's history dates back to the medieval period. It experienced significant growth in the 18th and 19th centuries, developing as a local agricultural and commercial center.
