Al-Hawari
The term "Al-Hawari" (Arabic: الحواري, plural: الحواريون, Al-Hawariyyun) refers to the disciples of the prophet Isa (Jesus) in Islam. It is generally considered to be the Islamic equivalent of the Christian term "apostle."
The Quran mentions Al-Hawariyyun in several verses, particularly in Surah Al-Imran (3:52), Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:111-115), and Surah As-Saff (61:14). These verses highlight the faith and support provided by the disciples to Isa. While the Quran does not provide a specific list of names, Islamic tradition identifies some figures as being among Al-Hawariyyun.
In Islamic theology, Al-Hawariyyun are viewed as righteous individuals who believed in and aided Isa in his mission. Their unwavering faith and dedication serve as an example for Muslims. The specific roles and importance of Al-Hawariyyun are emphasized in the Quran to showcase the divine support provided to Isa and the importance of righteous companionship.
