The Mooring (2012 film)
The Mooring is a 2012 Canadian independent horror-thriller film directed by Michael Petroni and starring Hope Davis, Craig Sheffer, and Hallie Kate Eisenberg. The film centers on a woman, Dr. Nancy Gilbert (Davis), who is conducting a wilderness therapy program for troubled teenagers. She invites two teenagers, Millie (Eisenberg) and Bobby (Maxwell Perry Cotton), to participate in a weekend excursion on a remote lake. Unbeknownst to Nancy and the teenagers, a dangerous killer lurks in the woods, and they soon find themselves in a fight for survival. The film explores themes of isolation, trauma, and the unexpected dangers hidden within seemingly idyllic settings. It was released direct-to-video and received mixed reviews.
