Ted Young (politician)

Ted Young is an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 96th district from 2017 to 2023. The 96th district included portions of Tuscarawas, Guernsey, and Muskingum counties.

Young was first elected in November 2016, defeating Democrat Al Landis. He secured re-election in 2018 and 2020.

During his tenure in the Ohio House, Young served on several committees, including Agriculture and Rural Development, Finance, and Transportation and Public Safety. He was known for his advocacy on issues related to agriculture, economic development, and Second Amendment rights.

Prior to his service in the Ohio House, Young was involved in local government.

In 2022, Young ran for the Ohio Senate seat in the 31st district but was defeated in the Republican primary by Al Landis.
