Ingeborg (film)
Ingeborg is a 1960 Austrian drama film directed by Gottfried Reinhardt. The film stars Ruth Leuwerik, Walther Reyer, and Dietmar Schönherr. It is based on the novel of the same name by Kurt Guggenheim.
The film tells the story of Ingeborg Meinert (Ruth Leuwerik), a successful businesswoman who returns to her hometown after a long absence. She is confronted with unresolved issues from her past, including a former love affair and the disapproval of her family. The film explores themes of forgiveness, reconciliation, and the challenges women faced in post-war Austria. Ingeborg was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 10th Berlin International Film Festival.
