He typically wears boots equipped with retractable blades laced with poison. He has faced Spider-Man numerous times.

Tarantula (Luis Alvarez): The second Marvel Comics Tarantula, Luis Alvarez, debuted in Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #2 (May 1977). He was a NYPD officer who volunteered for a program that enhanced his strength and agility similar to the original Tarantula. This was done to combat Spider-Man, whom Alvarez believed to be a menace. The process also affected his mind, making him more violent.

She has no superpowers but is highly trained in combat. She utilizes bladed weapons, particularly those that resemble spider legs or fangs, and often employs lethal force. She had a complex relationship with Nightwing (Dick Grayson).
