Steve Shirley (baseball)

Steve Shirley is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for two seasons, 1986 and 1987, with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Shirley was drafted by the Dodgers in the 5th round of the 1982 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut on April 14, 1986. In his rookie season, he appeared in 38 games as a relief pitcher, posting a 4-2 record with a 3.66 ERA.

In 1987, Shirley pitched in 12 games for the Dodgers before being traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in July. However, he did not appear in any MLB games for the Cardinals.
