StarDance (Czech TV series) season 1

StarDance (Czech TV series) season 1 was the inaugural season of the Czech television dance competition StarDance …když hvězdy tančí (StarDance...When Stars Dance), which is the Czech version of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing format. It aired on Česká televize (Czech Television) in 2006.

The season featured celebrity contestants paired with professional dancers, competing each week by performing ballroom and Latin dances. Each performance was judged by a panel of professional judges, and viewers could vote for their favorite couples via telephone and SMS. The combined scores from the judges and public vote determined which couple was eliminated each week.

The winning couple of season 1 was actress Tatiana Vilhelmová and her professional dance partner Petr Čadek. They were crowned champions after a series of weeks of competition. Other notable contestants included actors, singers, and athletes. The series was hosted by Marek Eben and Tereza Kostková. The judges included Zdeněk Chlopčík, Eva Bartuňková, and Tatiana Drexler.

The first season was successful and helped establish StarDance as a popular television program in the Czech Republic, leading to numerous subsequent seasons.
