Carl Cox
Carl Cox (born July 29, 1962) is a British house and techno DJ and producer. He is considered a pioneer of the electronic music scene, particularly in the UK. Cox is renowned for his energetic performances, technical skill, and long sets, often featuring three turntables.
He began DJing at a young age, initially playing rare groove and soul, before transitioning to early rave and acid house music. He was a prominent figure in the UK rave scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Cox has headlined major festivals and clubs around the world, including residencies at Space Ibiza for 15 years (1996-2016) with his "Music Is Revolution" nights. He has also been a radio host, most notably with his "Global" show, which ran for 16 years.
Throughout his career, Cox has released numerous singles, EPs, and albums, and has been involved in various record labels, including his own Intec Records (formerly Intec Digital). He is a highly influential and respected figure in the electronic music industry.
