Snowing (band)

Snowing was an American emo band from Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, active from 2007 to 2009. The band was known for their technically proficient and often angular guitar work, unconventional song structures, and introspective, often melancholic lyrics. Despite a relatively short lifespan and limited output, Snowing garnered a significant cult following within the emo and indie rock scenes and are considered an influential band in the revival of emo in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

The band's lineup consisted of John Galm (vocals, guitar), Nate Dionne (guitar), Justin Schwartz (bass), and Ross Fararo (drums). They released one studio album, I Could Do Whatever I Wanted If I Wanted, in 2009, preceded by several EPs and splits. Their music blended elements of mid-90s emo, indie rock, and post-hardcore, creating a distinctive sound characterized by complex time signatures and dynamic shifts.

After disbanding in 2009, members of Snowing went on to pursue other musical projects. John Galm has continued to perform as a solo artist and with the band Glocca Morra. Snowing's music remains influential and continues to be discovered by new listeners through online platforms and word-of-mouth.
