Knorkator

Knorkator is a German band formed in Berlin in 1994, self-described as "The most band of the world" ("Die meiste Band der Welt"). Their music is difficult to categorize, blending elements of industrial metal, punk rock, and even opera, often with humorous and absurdist lyrics.

The band is known for its over-the-top stage presence, theatrical performances, and unconventional song structures. They frequently employ self-deprecating humor and satire in their music, often commenting on German culture and society. Their lyrics are often nonsensical or deliberately absurd, contributing to the band's unique and eccentric image.

Key members of Knorkator include Stumpen (vocals), Buzz-Dee (guitar), Alf Ator (keyboards, vocals), and Nicolaj Gogow (bass). They have released several studio albums, consistently pushing the boundaries of musical genre and performance art. Knorkator has gained a devoted following in Germany and other parts of Europe due to their unpredictable live shows and unique musical style. They represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest preselection in 2000 with the song "Ick wer zun Schwein".
