The film stars Mikey Day, Laura Bell Bundy, Michaela Watkins, Jerry Trainor, and Kira Kosarin, and features appearances by other comedic actors.

The plot revolves around two siblings, Hal and Natalie Brandston, who wake up to a snow day, giving them a chance to pursue their respective desires. Hal hopes to use the day to confess his feelings to his crush, Claire Bonner, while Natalie aims to stop a snowplow driver from ruining the fun for everyone. Subplots involve the children's parents also facing their own challenges on the snow day.
